MadeIt ("we", "us") is operated by Aozora Media LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, 124–128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the MadeIt website (madeit.jobs), web app, and iOS app, and how we use it. Contact us any time at hello@madeit.jobs.

What we collect

• Account data — your email address and authentication details when you sign up (including via Sign in with Apple or Google).
• Profile data — answers you give in onboarding (target job title, experience level, location and salary preferences).
• Resume content — the resume you upload and the tailored versions, match reports, cover letters, and application answers generated from it.
• Purchase data — your subscription or purchase status. Payments themselves are processed by Apple (in the iOS app) or Stripe (on the web); we never see your full card details.
• Usage data — in-app events such as searches, saves, and feature use, linked to your account, used to understand and improve the product.
• Notification token — if you enable push notifications, a device token used solely to deliver them.

How we use it

We use your data to operate MadeIt: authenticate you, show and rank job listings, analyse your resume against jobs, generate tailored resumes and application materials, deliver job-alert notifications you enabled, send account and onboarding emails (you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails with one click), process purchases, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Service providers

We share data only with processors needed to run the service: Supabase (database, authentication and hosting), OpenAI (AI analysis of your resume and job descriptions to deliver the resume tools — not used by OpenAI to train models), RevenueCat and Apple (in-app purchases), Stripe (web payments), Resend (email delivery), and Expo (push notification delivery). Each processes data on our instructions.

Job listings

Job listings shown in MadeIt are aggregated from employers' public career pages and applicant-tracking systems via a licensed data provider. When you apply, you do so on the employer's own site under the employer's privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us — this permanently removes your account, profile, resume content, and generated documents. Some minimal records (for example invoices) may be retained where the law requires.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, or delete your personal data. Write to hello@madeit.jobs and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Security

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored with access controls; server-side rules ensure your resume and documents are accessible only to your account.

Children

MadeIt is a job-search product intended for people of working age and is not directed at children.

Changes

If we materially change this policy we will update this page and the date above.
